Lynelle Hee obtained her law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law and was admitted to the California Bar in 1993. She worked as a deputy public defender at the San Diego Public Defender’s Office until 1999. In 2002, she joined ADI as a staff attorney. Her primary area of practice is criminal law and juvenile delinquency. In 2014, she began managing the legal support staff until 2022 when the Board of Directors selected her to become the executive director.
She’s a member of the San Diego Appellate Inn of Court and the San Diego County Bar Association, Appellate Practice Section.
Outside of ADI, she spends time singing in her church choirs and Sorelle San Diego, a Women’s Chamber Chorus. She enjoys photography, caring for her individually named houseplants, and learning Japanese.
